Hamlin 7/24 race report
Brandon races his 270 from 10th to 2nd only to
have a car turn left sending him up on his side. Car was
put back up on all 4 tires and fired back up. Back to
the rear and raced his way back up to a solid 8th place
finish. The 2nd 270 main saw Brandon running third when
his motor let go. The 600 main Brandon was having his
best run to date running 5th with 3 laps to go when the
left rear tire fell off the car. What a very
disappointing night. The bright side both cars were fast
and he won both of his heats. Better luck next week.
Good luck to Brandon and crew, that win is just around
corner.

failure side lines 270 before race started. The night
started with Brandon starting 5th in his 270 heat. He
won the heat going away and set fast time for the night.
Brandon drew the 7th starting spot for the main. Before
the main started, Brandons car blew a head gasket
sending him to the pits. Brandon didn't have a good run
in his 600 heat. Because of this he had to start 25th in
the main. Brandon did a excellent job using the top side
to race his way to a 13th place run. Look for Brandon to
be at Kutztown and Hamlin this week.
Hamlin 7/3 race report
Brandon scores first top 5 with his 270 at Hamlin
Speedway. Brandon was back at Hamlin looking to see if
he could better his top ten run a week ago. Brandon
started 9 in his 270 heat and raced his way to a 3rd
place finish. Brandon drew 2nd starting spot for the
main. The start saw Brandon jump out to a early lead.
Brandon and Gene Bird were setting a blistering pace.
The two leaders hit heavy lap traffic with 5 to go. Gene
slipped under Brandon and the two ran side by side in
the heavy traffic. Gene got the lead and Brandon wasn't
able to get him back and came home a strong 2nd in only
his second time at the track. The 600 class didn't go as
smooth. In Brandon's heat he got tagged by another car
bending the suspension and a wheel. The car wouldn't run
right so he finished in the back of the heat. Brandon
started 20th in the main and did a great job and raced
to a 13th place finish by the end of the event. With it
only being his second time there, he turned some heads.
People know this is a driver and team to be reckoned
with. Look for Brandon to be back at Hamlin this week.
Hamlin Race report 6/26
Brandon scores a top ten and a 18th in first visit to
Hamlin Speedway on 6/26. Brandons first race in the
wingless 600 race was a learning experience. The car was
real loose in his heat and Brandon could not get a hold
of the track and finished 6th. Brandon started 20th in
the main. Early in the event Brandon used the top side
to advance himself up to 14th. The car was just not
right and Brandon faded to a 18th place finish. Brandon
looked real comfortable in the car .Brandon and the team
felt real good about the run and something to work with
for next time. The night ended on a real good note with
Brandon racing his way from 23rd to 10th in the 270 main
event. Brandon started 9th in his qualifying event and
finished 6th. Needing to finish 4th or better meant
Brandon was going to have to run the B main just to try
to make the A main. Brandon finished forth thus
transferring to the A main. Each time the car went out
the team was getting the car better. Well Brandon didn't
disappoint his fans with a outstanding run in the main.
Brandon used the high and low side to drive his way from
23rd to a strong going forward 10th place. You couldn't
tell this was his first time at the track. A great job
goes out to the team and Brandon for the impressive run.
Brandon will be back at Hamlin July 3rd
Selinsgrove Race Report 6/11
Brandon wins second feature of the year and first career 270 main at
Selinsgrove. Because the team could not run Saturday
they decided to make the trip to Selinsgrove Raceway
Friday to race. Brandon only has a couple of races under
his belt at this track. Back in 2008 Brandon won the
opening day Rookie micro main at this track. After
warm-ups the car was tight and running out of gear at
top end. The team made some adjustments for the heat.
Brandon started in his heat 5th and finished a strong
3rd. The car looked real fast but Brandon felt he needed
the car to be a little bit more free. The team made
adjustments for the main. The invert came back which but
Brandon on the pole for main. All we can say from the
start of the green is wow. Brandon checked out from the
rest of the field. Brandon cruised easily to the win
running times under the track record. Congratulations to
Brandon and the team for the outstanding run. Brandon
will miss next weekend racing but will return to racing
the 23rd at Kutztown and up to Hamlin Speedway the 26th.
Greenwood Race report 6/5
Long night of racing gives Brandon 1 top five , two top
tens and a pair of 11ths. First main of the night was
the 30 lap left over event from the week before for the
270 division. Brandon started 7th and finished a solid
forth in a main that ran non stop.
The second main of the night saw Brandon start 9th in
the 35 lap 600 leftover race from last week. This
race was caution filled and Brandon's car would not stay
on the bottom on restarts. It seemed every caution he
would loose a position. Brandon then found the outside.
Once he found the outside he worked his way back up to a
11th place finish. The second 270 main had Brandon
starting 9th. This race was running non stop also.
Brandon and two other cars were battling for 5th with
two laps to go, when a lapped car got together with
Shane Penny causing him two loose it collecting Brandon
in the wreck. Luckily they had a couple cars a lap down
so Brandon did not have to go to the end of the line.
Brandon got a couple of cars the last two laps to finish
11th. The last main of the night was the 600 feature.
Brandon started ninth and finished 9th in a race that
was pretty uneventful. The track was completely shot and
passing was almost impossible. Brandon held his own and
finished where he started 9th. 4 heats 4 mains 155 laps
of racing and both cars in one piece. I would say a good
night of racing. Good job to the team for the busy night
of tire changing, tire grinding, car washing, wing
adjusting, wheel spacing, wing fixing you name it night.
Look for Brandon to run Kutztown Wednesday and to
Selinsgrove Friday. Good Luck Brandon.
GREENWOOD 5/22 Race Report
Brandon scores his 5th top 5 in a row with his 270.
Brandon started 2nd in the main. The race only had one
caution that flew on lap 5. The top 7 cars were under a
blanket. As the the cars entered lap traffic the racing
got crazy. The positions 2 threw 6th switched several
times over the event. Brandon crossed the line in fifth
place making it 4 top 5s in a row at GVAT. The 600 class
the results were not good. On the third lap of the main
Brandon was up on the out side when two cars tangled.
One of the cars shot right into the side of Brandon's
car sending him up into the wall at a high speed.
Brandon was a little shaken in the the wreck but
walked away with just some minor bruises. It was a good
thing Brandon has all the right safety gear and he sure
put it to the test. He is ok and the car can be fixed.
Look for Brandon to be back at Greenwood next week for
the Memorial Day classic.
Greenwood 5/15 race report
Brandon scores another top 5 with his 270 and an 6th
place finish with his 600. After coming off last weeks
big win Brandon and the team were ready to get back at
it. Brandon started 9th in his heat and finished 4th.
This put him starting 7th in the main. The top of the
field was stacked with the best in the business in 270
racing. What a great race which saw Brandon race wheel
to wheel with these great drivers. Brandon finished a
strong 3rd and recorded his fastest laps he has ever run
at the track. Brandon started 2nd in his 600 heat. He
used the out side on lap 2 to take the lead and win his
third heat of the year with that car. Brandon started
5th in the main. Brandon got shuffled back to tenth
early in the event. Staying on top of the wheel Brandon
pasted his way up to a seasons best 6th place run with
this car. Another great job goes out to Brandon and the
whole team. Look for Brandon to be back at GVAT next
week for a chance at 500 dollars for a the feature
win.Good luck Brandon.
Greenwood 5/8 race report
Brandon captures 1st win of the season at the Greenwood
Valley Action Track. The 270 car looked fast right out
of the box. Brandon started 2nd in his heat and on lap 3
took the lead and easily won the qualifying event. This
allowed Brandon to make the draw for the top 6 spots in
the main. Brandon drew the pole. Starting on the pole
was nice but not going to be a cake walk by no means. In
the row right behind him was the two leading career
feature winners at the track. Brandon was up for the
challenge. Even with a couple restarts he could get away
from the field. With 5 to go he had the tracks all time
feature winner Shane Penny right on his tail. Well
Brandon put together 5 great laps and pulled away to his
first ever win at the track. In the 600 class Brandon and
the team have been getting the car better each and every
week. It really shown in his heat where Brandon ran down
the leader and passed him on the last lap for the win.
Brandon then started in 7th in the main. He was running
6th late in the main when a restart got him up in the
loose stuff, Brandon did a great job keeping the car
under him. He raced his way to a solid 9th place finish.
What a awesome night. Congratulations to Brandon and the
whole team for a outstanding night.
Greenwood 5/1 race report
Brandon scores 1st top 5 of the year in the 270 class at
Greenwood Valley. Brandon started 6th in the main. The
mains at Greenwood have been running off with with very
few cautions. This main was no different. With all the
fast cars up front you new it was going to be a good
race. Brandon did a great job running with the lead
group. The race was only slowed once for a caution.
Brandon finished a very strong 4th and ran the best lap
he has ever run at the track. The 600 race not so good.
After a nice run in heat Brandon was looking forward to
the main. On the first lap an over ancshus competitor
over drove the turn driving up over the front of
Brandons car. This wreck knocked off the front wing,
flattened the front tire, and bent the front axle.
Needless to say Brandons race was over. As they say "thats
racing". Congratulations Brandon on the 4th place run.
Brandon will be back at Greenwood 5/8.
Greenwood 4/24 race report
Brandon finishes 6th in 270 race and 19th in 600 main.
With the 600 pro series making its way to the action
track just to make the show was going to be a challenge.
42 six hundreds were buying for a chance to make the 24
car field. The format had the cars running 2 heats and
the top 16 points getters transferred to the A main. The
remaining cars would have to run B mains to try to make
the event. Brandon started 10 in his first heat and
finished 6th. He started on the pole of heat 2 and
wired the field for his first heat win with that car.
Brandon ended up transferring right to the A main with a
13th starting position. The team thought because the
main was forty laps it was going to be brutal on tires.
They went with a real hard compound on the right rear
figuring that when the race was into the second half he
would be real fast. Well as the cars were lining up for
the start it started to rain. The team new they were in
trouble. It rained threw the whole race and the tire
choice ended up being a big mistake. Brandon faded back
and could never get the car hooked up. He ended up
finishing 19th. Not what the team was hoping for but hey
18 cars didn't even make the race. After a rain delay
the 270 feature ran. The track was real slippery in the
beginning . All the drivers did a great job with the
feature running green to checker caution free. Brandon
started 9th and finished a strong 6th, his best
finish of the season so far. Congratulations to Brandon
on his first heat win in his 600 and making the 600 pro
series main. Brandon will be back at GVAT again this
weekend.
Greenwood 4/17 race report
After a couple of weeks of engine woes, Brandon finishes
both races for the first time in 2010.Brandon started
8th in 270 main. The race ran caution free for 23 laps.
Brandon's car was tight and was running 7th when the
caution flew. On the restart his car pushed bad going
into turn 1 costing him two spots in the last two laps.
With the stiff competition a ninth is a very respectful
run. The 600 class saw Brandon start 19th. Brandon
dropped back at the start but did a masterful job
working the high side racing his way up to a 15th place
finish. This was his first race in the car but you could
not tell with the confidences he used racing the high
side. With the first race under their belt the team
knows now a little better what they need to do to make
the car right. Great job to Brandon and the whole team
for never giving up. Look for steady improvements now
going forward.
